Our Agenda for today

Dear 6B,

Today, we are learning:

  1. About words to elicit specific emotions.
  2. To use gerunds correctly.
Part 1

Part 2
What are gerunds? View the video below to refresh your memory.

To recap, we use gerunds ( verb +ing) :

1. after prepositions like 'to', 'for', ' in', 'at', 'of', 'about', etc.:

I'll think about joining the club next year.

2. after certain verbs, such as 'avoid', 'enjoy', 'finish', 'go', 'suggest', etc.:

I always enjoy relaxing on the sofa after work.

3. As nouns as the subject or object of a sentence:

Swimming is one of my favourite sports.
I don't like running.
