  1. The answer is $2.

Here is how to solve it:

Draw a model. The model will have 3 units. The chicken will have 14 units, you can imagine if you do not want to draw. If you do not want the original number to be so big, you can divide 700, 100 and 3400 by 100.They will be 7, 1 and 34. Because the price of a chicken is 2/3 that of a duck, so 7*2=14, the chiken will have 14 units. 3+14=17, this is the total number of units. 34/17=2. So, the answer is $2.

    1. One more thing, without the explanation of my solution, it will be like this:

      700/100=7
      100/100=1
      3400/100=34
      3+14=17 =Total no.of units
      34/17=2 =The answer

  2. The answer is $2.
Here is how to solve it:
    (700*2)+(100*3)=1700
    3400/1700=2
    So,the answer is $2.

  3. The answer is $4
    700*2=1400
    100*3=300
    1400+300=1700
    3400*1700=2
    2*2=4
